My name is Shirleen Muchesia, a young student teacher currently finishing my bachelor's degree course in education at Kenyatta University. I specialise in art and design and geography. I use the student-centered approach to ensure that my learners gather as much knowledge as they can in order to obtain good results. I also encourage my students to actively participate in class by asking questions and using visual aids where necessary. I am willing to help students with the assignments they do not understand and welcome any questions they might have for me. I am well equiped with psychological skills required by a teacher that enable me to understand the different types of learners i might encounter during classes. I am fluent in both English and Swahili as per the learners needs. I am confident that i can equip learners with knowledge and skills that can be used both in the classroom and also their day to day lives and I'm looking forward to impacting my learners in a positive way.

  • My teaching practice (May, 2024–Aug, 2024) at Kwihota secondary
    I was a teacher on practice. This enabled me to put the skills taught at the University into practice which i successfully passed. My ability to deliver content to the students and also my interaction with them and other teachers was tested.

Fee details

    KSh1,000–2,500/day (US$7.75–19.38/day)

    My charges vary based on time and the content i deliver. Art requires a lot of visual aid unlike geography which is mostly theoretical and thus charged higher.
