Hello there, my name is Melissa and I love teaching. I never thought I would, until I tried it. Turns out, I have more empathy than I thought I would have. I have a mother's heart for someone so young,... Yet, I do. I mainly teach by analysing the students needs. I put myself in their shoes and look back, what did I need when I was their age, or what would I need if in a similar situation. Moreover, I'd like to consider myself fun. I believe that learning is more memorable and meaningful when it's engaging and fun. It lightens the moods and improves concentration of the students, the perfect attentive condition for learning. I am a patient soul. I understand that learning is progressive over time and I am willing to patiently lead my students through this journey of growth. I am not going to lie, it is not the easiest job, it requires resilience, tolerance (loads), patience, trust (like a trust fall), and faith; believing in each other. The teacher has to have faith in her students ability to learn, and the student has to believe in his/her teacher and trust that she is the right one for him/her for efficient cooperation.
My main motivation, at the end of the day, is having the ability and power to inspire positive change by slowing transforming my students minds to believing in themselves, and, they forever engraving and encroaching themselves into my heart. I guess that sounds corny right? 😂
