Mumtaz Yaqub has worked as a DCC at the Department of Linguistics, University of Arizona for six months. She holds an M.Sc. in Applied Linguistics from University of Management and Technology, Lahore and MS in English Linguistics from International Islamic University, Islamabad. She has presented numerous papers in International Conferences in Pakistan. In addition, she is a co-author of a book, ‘From Urdu to English’. Her research interests are corpus linguistics, phonetics & phonology and sociolinguistics. Currently, she is enrolled in Ph.D. at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad-Pakistan. Mumtaz Yaqub is presently a tutor at BS and MA level at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad. She conducts workshop at AIOU. Moreover, she is a visiting lecturer of English at Riphah International University, Islamabad.
