Ideally this position will allow me the opportunity to realize my experience gained as a physicist. In this capacity, I have managed to teach as a part-time lecturer in the Egerton University, physics department. Additionally, I have been able to carry out seismic event location for micro-seismic events here in Kenya. I have succeeded in developing a 1-D velocity model for the Menengai volcanic field. My work became a great asset to the Geothermal Development Company and is still in use up to date.
Much of my experiences is transferable, specifically in areas of physics, both use of
illustrations, use of equations, examples and giving out meaningful handouts/ notes. I am confident that my experience and personal disposition would be an asset to the students.
