My name is Afiya Marcano. I strongly believe that Early Childhood Care and Education is the foundation for a child's learning. As an ECCE teacher my goal for my students are for them to develop holistically (socially, physically, intellectually, creatively, emotionally and spiritually) through active learning. Children learn best through play, hands- on materials, having an interest in specific topics, experiments and being curious (questioning). I aspire to set the right foundation to help children help themselves for a road filled with lifelong learning inside and outside of a classroom, therefore, I will utilize the constructivism method of teaching.
My occupation is teacher; however, my passion is teaching and guiding individuals in their self-discovery journey in discovering their individual passion.
