Hi! I’m Charmea Quelino and I hold a bachelor’s degree in AB Psychology and AB Sports Studies. I am also fluent in English. I am eager to combine my knowledge and training in English and Psychology with my deep commitment and enthusiasm for helping students reach their full potential.

My fluency in English and knowledge of Psychology prepared me to understand the different learning processes better and gives me the tools, skills, and knowledge to effectively teach a language. Thus, it allows me to create an effective lesson plan. I can use Positive Psychology to better address behavioral issues, help students with learning difficulties, and build a healthy, fun, purpose-driven, and empowering environment. I’ll make sure to create a safe and positive learning environment for my students. A safe space where they are not afraid to make mistakes, to ask questions and to express themselves. I am flexible and innovative in my teaching approach because I understand that there could be differences in my student's personalities, ages, needs, interests, and goals.

It is also unavoidable that some students might be struggling with mental health problems which could affect their learning process. My experience would help in managing the situation and to make an adjustment so that the class session would still be productive and would still cater to their need for learning. I can be the person whom they could talk to as they also learn how to speak and express themselves in English.

In addition to my skills and knowledge, I have a strong commitment in helping people. I am creative, patient, and empathetic when it comes to teaching. I can think on my feet to adjust certain lesson plans and approaches depending on the situation and needs of my students. I am looking forward for the opportunity to have a great and productive session with you!
