I am a qualified SENCo and primary school teacher. I enjoy working with children and teaching children with additional needs. My last teaching role was as SENCo for a school in West London, where I worked with staff and parents to support their child in making progress with their communication, emotional regulation and academic learning.

My passion is bringing out the best in children, socially, emotionally and academically.
I enjoy working with children and families, ensuring that they receive the best support and outcomes for their children.

I use real life experiences to support children with their learning.

In my role as SENCo, I work with families, children and a wide range of professionals to arrange support and apply for funding for children. I arrange regular meetings, prepare reports and ensure I follow the SEND code of practice. Whilst working in this role, I have developed confidence to maintain my professionalism and empathy when having difficult conversations with families regarding their child’s needs or difficulties. As a result of this, I have built trusting and positive relationships.

My role as a Senior Leader in school means that I must empower staff to become independent and confident in their decision-making, therefore I meet regularly with staff, model lessons and teach children.
In my role, I support children with special needs and medical conditions. As a result of this I have attended, sourced and delivered various training for staff to up skill and improve their professional development.

As part of my role, I support children socially and emotionally, engaging in games, joining in with sports activities and listening when they need someone to talk to. I also support families with making referrals to counselling services and directing them to outside professionals for more support.
