I like to implement a learner centred approach to my teaching as it places the learner at the centre of the learning experience, it is a proven way for learners to better understand the subject mattter.
I like to frequently assess learners as it gives the learner and myself feedback as to whether the methods i implemented to teach a certain topic were effective.
What makes me a great teacher is that i am learning or searching for ways to better explain concepts as well as the fact that i possess very good emotional intelligence. I am a very patient teacher who encourages students to ask questions both personally and academically.

Experience

  • Subject Teacher & sports coordinator (Apr, 2023–Mar, 2024) at Rockfield Academy
    I taught the following subjects : Chemistry, Integrated Science, Business Studies, Biology and Civic Education. I was also the sports coordinator for the secondary section. My responsibilities as a sports coordinator included coming up with activities for learners to do during physical education and sports as well as identifying the appropriate areas for the sports ground to be developed.
    As a subject teacher i also developed the schemes of work for all subjects under my jurisdiction.
  • Class Teacher (Jan, 2022–Apr, 2022) at Lusaka Boys Secondary
    I was a class teacher and was in charge of teaching three classes. I taught chemistry and biology to two grade 10 classes and one grade 11 class. As a class teacher my duties were: ensuring that the class is in order before lessons begin, settling disputes among learners as well as updating parents about their child's academic progression.

Fee details

    US$2–200/hour (US$2–200/hour)

    My fee is dependent on the students location as transport is a factor, however if students come to me then the prices do not change.
    Alternatively if the client is willing to pay for my transportation in the form of booking me a cab or pay a bus fare the price will not change.
