Computer teacher are responsible for shaping their students' technological literacy, preparing them for future careers and fostering critical thinking skills. It is important to understand that there are two primary types of computer teacher skills. Hard skills are the specialised abilities you acquire through formal training or hands-on experience. In the context of a Computer Teacher, these might include proficiency in programming languages or familiarity with specific software applications. Soft skills often centre around interpersonal attributes and cognitive capabilities like communication, patience and problem-solving. These are usually acquired through a combination of experience and practice. Like all teachers, I was drawn into the field of education for many different reasons: a love for my subject (music in my case), influential teachers in my own education, and a passion for helping others excel and learn. After four amazing, yet challenging, years of educating hundreds of students, I made the extremely difficult decision to leave the classroom. Just as my reasons for becoming a teacher were varied, so too were my reasons for leaving: a desire for a new challenge, frustration with the school system, and new opportunities for myself and my family.
