With over 18 years of experience in education, I am a seasoned professional specializing in the British National Curriculum for ICT and Computing, encompassing all key stages from KS1 through KS4, as well as IGCSE and ICDL programs. My career has been marked by a proven track record of teaching applied ICT, Computer Science and ICDL to the Secondary learners and Computing to the Preparatory learners, where I have garnered extensive experience teaching Coding, programming, digital literacy and citizenship, 2D and 3D modelling and physical computing.
I am a hands-on teacher with passion and vast experience teaching; visual programming languages such as Scratch, Code Studio, Tynker to junior learners. Moreover, I teacher text-based programming such as HTML, Java, Java script, Python across the grade levels. In my teaching of technology, I integrate ; cloud computing skills( Office 365 suite and Google Workspace for Education Suite) 3D modelling by using SketchUp, Blender, Unity and TinkerCad as well as physical computing by using; microbits, Pi Raspberries, Lego Mindstorms, Bee Bots and Makey Makey to equip learners with STEAM skills that are on demand in the 21st century.
As an international teacher, scaffolding and deep learning are my approaches to teaching where I embrace, mentor, coach learners of all abilities and diversities . I am committed to delivering engaging and effective lessons that adhere to these standards, developing and implementing lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
