Hospitality, patience, generousity, dedication, fun determines the learning and I am glad that I am this type of person when I teach Amharic for my students.

I have been on languege exchange websites for the past 4 years teaching Amharic for foriengers for free and to be flexible to teach them the way they want is what I enjoy and that is why I prefer one to one class rather than group classes. With some of them we use music, with some of them we use literatures, with some of them just social talks to practice Amharic.

Listening attentively when my students talk in Amharic and helping them to get better by giving applicable comments, or reharsing some words together or reading their write up and giving feedbacks is what I injoy to do.

Ofcourse my students are also very dedicated but I realized that after 4 to 6 monthes of practicing together with me, most of them will be fluent in Amharic as almost equal as native speakers even mentioning difficult Idoms in Amharic.

    2 American deplomats, 2 physitians, engineer, musician, highschool students were the professions that I helped them so far to learn Amharic. With most of them I have stayed together for a minimum of 6 monthes and I have an amazing time every week. The sessions are usually 1 hour long and twice/three times per week involving listening, reading, speaking and new vocabulary challange practice which varies with every student. Classes have been usually friendly and filled with a passion to discuss on varaity of topics that the student wants and with full of fun.

Fee details

    Br300–700/hour (US$2.37–5.52/hour)

    The minimum fee is if the student is in an intermidiate level
    The maximum fee is, if the student is beginner in Amharic since teaching beginners take a lot of time to prepare to suit the need of that specific student.

    Again maximum fee also applies for an intermediate students if they are requirig additional home work help.
