The approaches and strategies for teaching, as well as how our Sri Lankan advanced-level children’s education is delivered, are created to enhance engagement, skills which promote critical thinking, creativity and consolidate habits of lifelong learning. Our methods of teaching and presenting materials are as follows; Our teaching style is highly student- centered and includes; Use of smiles, gestures and movements, use project based learning, often apply differentiation and use of technology. Evaluation is a continuous process in which formative assessment is carried out during the lessons’ flow.

The teaching approach can be regarded as active due to the constant change of strategies and methods used to make the students comfortable and encourage them to share their opinions and experiment with different things. High-level thinking and deep inquiry characterized by inquiry-based learning increases learners’ curiosity and their desire to explore several topics in depth. Our strategy is to appeal to the clients’ practical aspects of the contexts in which concepts are being taught to improve learning outcomes.

Teaching professionalism means that targeted practices are constantly leveled up through ongoing reflections and students’ feedback. Students seem to excel in their academic results as well as testing and assessments, meaning that they have acquired complete mastery of the material. Students improve their analytical, problem solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills in order to achieve phenomenal performance in all endeavours of learning and working. Initiative and innovation are also relevant for addressing issues and constructing novel solutions to them.

Therefore, the strategies and the approaches applied in the teaching learning process at our Schools initiate the higher-level children of Sri Lanka towards knowledge and skill acquisition, intellectual and personal growth.
