Dr. Sophia Rapose
With twenty-three years of teaching experience spanning the ICSE and IB boards, I am excited about the prospect of contributing towards the academic development of students.
I am a Native English Speaker and hold a B.A in English and Social Studies, along with a
Bachelors in Education (B.ED) from Calorx Teachers University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
Besides this I have various teaching credentials like DECCE, Mother India Mission Primary teachers training and IB Asia Pacific certificates too. My teaching journey has taken me through Indonesia and India, where I have honed my skills over the past two decades.
Currently, I am proud to serve at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul IB World School, Pune, India.
One of my core strengths lies in guiding students to set and achieve their goals. I believe in motivating students to push their boundaries and explore new avenues of learning. Through tailored programs aligned with the curriculum, I empower students to construct their own knowledge and reach their full potential. Moreover, I have a proven track record of supporting students with varying learning paces, ensuring inclusive education through
differentiated instruction. I am also known for maintaining good rapport with my parents and I always reflect on feedback to feed forward.
Furthermore, through these years, I have mentored student teachers from NHL Stendan
University, Netherlands, under the Student Teacher Exchange Programme, focusing on the philosophies and ethos of the IB curriculum.
I am confident that my experience and dedication will enrich the learning journey of your
students. I am eager to bring my passion for education and commitment to student success.
