I have been teaching Japanese as online about for 4 years. I am a Turkish and also all of my students are almost Turkish.. I use zoom platform. Firstly we start with learning writing system, alphabet etc. On whiteboard by writing letters step by step makes them happy and relax till another stage.. After that we meet with gramer.. How many months it will take depends on student's effort and lesson hours in a week.. I think that listening is the most important activity for learning Japanese. So, not just writing also we often do listening exercise..
