I try to be as concise as possible because I know as an MBBS student, it's difficult to retain descriptive explanation. I am a visual learner as well as an organizer. I prefer making tables, diagrams, shortcuts. I believe that all these tools help to understand the topic easily and increase the chances of retaining information for a longer time. I also believe that learning is an active process and not a passive process. Hence, in order to active learn one needs to express what they have learned by using tools like recalling information at specific time periods. A students understand the topic thoroughly only if he/she is able to explain the topic in their own words. I always try to make a very boring topic interesting by using mnemonics, diagrams, tables.
