Hi! My name is Esther W. Mbayu and I am from a dynasty of committed academics who installed in me the love of teaching at an early age. I have a Diploma in Architectural Design and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interior design. In addition to that, I have a diploma in Technical Training specializing in CADD, Civil Design and Geo technology specialized in Technical Institutions.
As someone who has an educational background, I intend to make sure that learning is accessible and attractive to all learners. I have worked with children as well as people with different diverse learning capabilities over an extended period of time hence instilling virtues like understanding and patience along the way.

I believe that every student should be put first when it comes to teaching so as to address his or her individual needs and learning styles. Here are some of my teaching styles and methodology:
1. Interactive Learning: This involves using real life applications within the context of hands-on lessons.
2. Personalized Approach: This means adjusting my instruction based on each student’s unique needs and rate of understanding.
3. Technology Infusion: This helps students learn better by integrating various digital resources, tools and platforms into their study process.
4. Creating a Supportive Environment: Making a safe and encouraging area permitting students to voice themselves freely and ask questions.

Results and Impact
In my teaching, my students consistently demonstrate a marked improvement in their comprehension as well as application of subjects I instruct. There are results for this which include:

Experience

  • Technical Trainer (Mar, 2022–Sep, 2022) at Mukurwe-ini Technical Training Institute
    As a Technical Trainer at Mukurwe-ini Technical Training Institute, I was responsible for instructing students in CADD Module 1, Civil Design Module 2, and Geo Technology Module 2 over a six-month period. My duties included developing and delivering comprehensive lesson plans, conducting hands-on training sessions, and evaluating student progress through assignments and exams. I ensured students gained proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), advanced civil engineering design principles, and the fundamentals of geotechnical engineering. Additionally, I provided individualized support to help students overcome challenges and fostered a collaborative learning environment to enhance their practical and theoretical understanding of the subjects.
