Math, coding, and chemistry can be really tough to understand at first glance. Just seems like a lot of numbers, random two letter words that make no sense, lines of random characters, and most importantly, LOTS of facts. But I promise, it doesn't have to be this hard.

I attend UC San Diego and hold certifications in R and Python, which are valuable tools for data analysis and programming, demonstrating my strong analytical skills. My journey in education has been significantly shaped by my involvement with a nonprofit tutoring platform dedicated to assisting low-income students in advancing their academic achievements. This experience has honed my ability to simplify complex concepts and tailor my teaching to meet diverse student needs.

My tutoring experience spans several years, during which I have developed and refined various effective teaching methods. One of my key approaches involves the use of an iPad to create interactive and visual learning experiences. This not only makes abstract concepts more tangible but also engages students in a way that traditional methods often do not. By incorporating visual aids and interactive tools, I help students grasp difficult topics more intuitively.

Another core method I employ is providing students with ample practice problems. I believe in the adage "practice makes perfect," especially in subjects like math and chemistry, where understanding is deepened through repetition and application. I design practice sessions that reinforce fundamental principles and progressively challenge students to apply their knowledge in new contexts, ensuring a solid grasp of the material.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student success. By understanding the unique challenges each student faces and employing a variety of teaching techniques, I strive to make learning math and chemistry an engaging and rewarding experience, because learning should be fun!
