I am a highly experienced professional and PhD scholar with more than10 years of expertise in various fields of fashion. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology and a Master's degree in Fashion Management, both from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). Along with this I have also completed multiple semester exchanges at Swiss Textile College, Zurich and ENSAIT, France. These educational accomplishments have laid the foundation for a dynamic career in the creative industry.My journey in fashion design began with an e-commerce company, where I gained invaluable industry experience and insights. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with renowned brands such as Limeroad, Shahi, Raymond, Manyavar, and have contributed to notable projects involving the West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board and Biswa Bangla.Teaching has always held a special place in my heart, and I have had the honor of sharing my knowledge as an Assistant Professor and Head of Academics at a college affiliated with West Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. This enriching experience has allowed me to provide aspiring designers with practical insights, nurturing their talents and cultivating a profound understanding of the fashion industry.Currently, I am the proud co-founder of a sustainable brand based in Kolkata. Our brand specializes in eco-printed clothing that seamlessly blends style with sustainability. It brings me immense pride to see many of my students secure placements nationally and internationally after receiving design training from me.My teaching methodology encompasses both offline and online modes, ensuring flexibility for learners of all ages. This approach guarantees a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. The core of my teaching philosophy lies in interactive and practical sessions, enabling students to actively participate in the learning process and apply their creativity.As a staunch advocate for sustainability, I prioritise eco-friendly practices in design. I encourage students to explore innovative and environmentally conscious approaches in their creative pursuits. My aim as an educator is not only to impart technical skills but also to inspire a deep appreciation for design and foster creativity in my students. Through a unique blend of experience, passion, and dedication, I prepare designers for success in the ever-evolving world of fashion.
