Hi, I am Thala Twala a Math and Science Teacher boasting 8 years of experience. I hold a BSc in Chemistry and a PGCE in Math and Science Education. I have been appointed as a district tutor and assist the department in helping to improve results for Grades 8- 11 students. And I have set test papers for this years district June Exams. I have offered one-on -one tutoring as well. And managed to improve the grade 9 2023 results by about 13% ( where I’m currently teaching).

I am very passionate and enjoy working with students to assist them in building confidence in these subjects.
I’m able to breakdown difficult concepts into fragments that young minds can grasp and understand. I am approachable, patient, flexible and always tailor my lessons to meet the individual students needs.

    I teach Grade 8-10 Math aswell as Grade 8-10 Physical Sciences aswell as Grdar 10 -11 Technical Sciences. To English Language Learning Students. I am responsible for planning and delivering the curriculum in line with the Curriculum Statement, planning and conducting assessments, analysing results and developing strategies to improve areas of weakness. Classroom management and administration. Collaborating with colleagues, management and parents to attain shared goals.

Fee details

    R120–300/hour (US$6.35–15.87/hour)

    My fees are mainly based on the content of the lesson. A lesson where I am I’m actually teaching ( introducing content and working through it) will be on the minimum range. Lessons where we are preparing for exams lesson will be more on the upper range ( as these could go for a slightly extra time).
