I try to figure out how each student learns best. Then, I change my teaching to fit how they learn. Some students like to see things, others like to hear things, and some like to do things. So, I use pictures, talk about things, and have activities to match each student's way of learning. you will learn computer architecture and organization in a very nice and effective manner. I have hands on experience with different micro controllers and micro processor and programming them in different low level languages like assembly.
as a university level teacher I prefer my students to study computer organization and architecture to understand the complexity of this simple computer system.
