To begin with every child has their own learning pace so as a teacher it is important to find it out and work on it.
Coming to my current job I run a personalised class wherein all my children are on different levels and hence I plan my class accordingly i e., as per their levels. I go to each child and explain them what the level is all about and also give the demonstration to them and scaffold them wherever needed. This inturn helps the child to be confident.
