For over 20 years I have developed and delivered/facilitated learning in face-to-
face, classroom and on the job training environments. I have transferred knowledge
and experience to countless learners over the years in both soft skills and more focused and technical course
I enjoy transferring my knowledge through interactive learning rather than straight tutoring. I l use multiple cases studies and real life situations in my courses and set assignments that help enforce learning rather than test it.
I believe that having a close one-on-one learning experience with my students and making them feel special will go a long way towards maximizing their learning experience.

Experience

  • HR, Internal Control and finally Sourcing/Procurement, (Jan, 2008–Mar, 2022) at Barclays Bank/Attijariwafa Bank Cairo, Egypt
    1- March 2008 – June 2008 developed HR Policies, Procedures and standards
    and trained all HR staff on their use and implementation.
    2- Dec 2008 – March 2009: developed “Your Responsibilities” document to
    raise all Bank staff’s awareness of all policies they need to know and adhere
    to in the areas of HR, Compliance< Information Risk Management, Business
    Continuity Management, Security (physical and Information), Health and
    Safety, Corporate Responsibility and Risk Management.
    3- Mar 2009 – Jul 2009: developed and delivered training to all COO functions
    on the Risk and Control Assessment documents as well as their testing and
    guiding them through the completion of the first ever testing round in July
    2009. Was officially recognized as on of the COO “Stars” for improving
    control environment.
    4- Dec 2008 – Feb 2012: prepared and delivered several awareness sessions
    aimed at raising awareness on the risks and controls inherent in their work
    as well as mitigating these risks through improving the control
    environment.
    5- Feb 2012 – March 2022: As Sourcing Senior Governance and Control
    Manager, prepared and conducted the following training sessions:
    a. Supplier Relationship Management delivered semi-annually to all
    Supplier Relationship Managers.
    b. Supplier Risk and Control identification and testing delivered semi-
    annually or as needed to all supplier relationship manahers.
    c. Sourcing/Procurement policies and procedures awareness
    refresher sessions delivered to all Sourcing/Procurement staff as
    well as fully training all new department staff on Policies and
    Procedures.
    d. Minimum Control Requirements for vendors. Delivered to over 50
    High and Medium risk vendors contracted by the bank on their
    responsibility towards ensuring adherence to the Supplier Risk and
    Control Minimum requirements.
    6- Oct 2014 – May 2016: Developed and Delivered Customer Experience
    Workshop/Training for all Bank Customer-facing staff as one of the
    Customer Experience Champions. And Recognized in 2015 through
    receiving the Stewardship Value Recognition Award for my work.
