I am currently pursuing a university degree in both English and Italian Language and Literature. I am German and was never raised bilingual, nor do I have family outside of Germany. I have acquired a level of C2 in English and B2/C1 in Italian, most of which I taught myself. On top of that, I speak decent French and am currently learning two more languages. I started my language learning journey over 15 years ago and have learned a variety of techniques to memorise vocabulary and grammar. I have also, throughout my time at school, successfully tutored fellow students in foreign languages and helped them not only to better understand their target language but to be able to speak it. Not only do I therefore have sufficient knowledge of acquiring a language but I also know how to approach English as a foreign language.
I have also been playing several instruments for over 13 years and have been part of a number of music groups and orchestras. I have some experience in writing songs and composing musical pieces and can therefore also tutor music theory at a beginners or intermediate level.
