There is no one created as a second class individual when it comes to learning. That a child doesn't learn as quickly as others does not mean that he or she is a dullard, no. As a teacher, I first of all make the child believe in him/herself which is very vital. After which, I seek to know what the problem is; if it is a matter of concentration, or being forgotten, or not understanding or fear of the subject. The problem determines the best approach. My class is always a friendly one that gives the child the atmosphere of being relaxed and seeing learning as fun which is what it really is. Learning is fun. The child understands this when he or she stop seeing himself or herself as a second class individual in the class but as a very brilliant child he or she can become.
With this method, and by the grace of God, parents of the pupils that I have been so happy of how much their children have improved academically.
