I have been teaching English and Tagalog to foreign nationals for more than 10 years. I teach pronunciation, speaking, reading, writing and vocabulary. I teach grammar with the objective of making the student speak the language in everyday context. I present the lessons from the basic concept to complex, integrating all the lessons on the last meeting every week. Students are able to speak from day 1.

I explain the logic of the language, how the words are interrelated, how they are placed in the sentence and how the meaning changes when there is a shift in the word order. Hence, I don't ask the student to memorize whole sentences. Rather, I train them to make their own sentences appropriate in the context of the situation.
