Hallo everyone,
My name is Lewis Abunga from Nairobi, Kenya and am 36years old. I hold a bachelor's degree in education ( physical education and mathematics). Am a physical education teacher for Cambridge O Level and A level. I also teach maths grade 9-11. I have over 3 years working experience in teaching the subject having served as the Head of department for over 6 years in various institutions. I teach ks4 and 5 learners who are between 15 and 19 years of age. I teach both Cambridge and Edexcel systems. My class size is 25 students and the school has a population of approximately 800 learners. We have students from across the world.
Over the past 2 years, I have been working at Nairobi Jaffery Academy, which is an international school, where I have gained valuable experience in teaching and fostering physical fitness and sportsmanship among students.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have also developed various skills that have contributed to my success in this role. Some of these skills include excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, which allow me to effectively connect with students, colleagues, and parents.
I am also experienced in coordinating and supervising extracurricular sports events, such as inter-school competitions and sports days. I enjoy playing football, squash, badminton,table tennis and sometimes cricket.
