I am a passionate teacher who is dedicated to nurturing young minds and inspiring a love for learning English. As I believe music can impact children's' learning journey and improve their brain development, I also incorporate some music lesson in my teaching. Through interactive lessons, creative activities and one-to-one attention, I tailor each session to meet your child's unique needs and learning style and I will empower your child to confidently communicate in English.

Experience

  • Phonics and Music Teacher (Aug, 2022–May, 2023) at Peekaboo International Preschool
    As I was both phonics teacher and music teacher at the same international preschool, I had an unique opportunity to combine my expertise in both areas to provide a comprehensive educational experience for my students. In phonics teaching, I delivered a systematic instructions to develop students' reading skills and spelling skills. I used online resources and phonics program to teach letter sound, phonemic awareness and sigh-words recognition. For music, I introduced students to the world of music, teaching them fundamental concepts such as rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo. I conducted interactive music sessions that included singing, playing musical instruments, and movement exercises. I also exposed students to different genres and cultures, helping them appreciate music and nurture their creativity.
  • English Language Teacher (Aug, 2022–Present) at The Home Private School, Yangon
    As an English language teacher, my main responsibility is to provide engaging and interactive English language instruction to help my students develop their language skills and foster a love for the English language. I incorporate with various teaching methods and resources to make the lesson interesting ang interactive. My focus is on teaching fundamental language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. And I pay special attention to vocabulary and grammar, ensuring that my students had a solid foundation in these areas. As I am also a musician, I incorporate music as a supplementary activity to reinforce language skills and make the learning process enjoyable.
  • Special Education Teacher (Sep, 2021–Aug, 2022) at Green Life Physiotherapy and Therapeutic Training Center
    I prepared teaching plans and provided special instructions to step up goals within each student's Individualized Educational Program (IEP). I collaborated with parents and administrators to ensure that the IEPs were tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. I provided individualized instruction to students with intensive needs, as well as small group instruction to address specific skill development. I used a variety of instructional techniques and materials to engage and motivate students, while promoting their independence and academic growth. I maintained accurate and detailed records of student progress and assessment results and reported to parents about their children's' progress every two months.
  • Teacher Assistant (Jan, 2019–May, 2019) at George English Teaching Centre, Yangon
    My role was to work closely with the lead teacher to enhance students comprehension during instructional period, managed the classroom and played fun games related to the lesson that the lead teacher is going to teach. I had regular communication and collaboration with the lead teacher to discuss lesson plans, student progress, and any necessary modification for the curriculum.
