    I have been teaching English literature and language for over 5 years now. As an educator in Bangalore, I am passionate about guiding students through IGCSE, Middle Years and IB English B curriculums.     Prior to moving to India, I tutored children aged 5-11 in Italy which was an extremely rewarding experience. It enabled me to understand how to make English relatable and fun for young learners.

I design immersive lesson plans encompassing diverse literary works, hands-on exercises, and lively discussions. My students are encouraged to think critically, express themselves clearly, and participate actively.

  • Tutor (Jun, 2018–Sep, 2018) at London School Rovereto
    During my 2-month tutoring stint in Italy, I worked with groups of up to 8 students aged 5-11 years old to support their ongoing English language development in an engaging way.

    My lessons focused on teaching grammar and vocabulary through interactive games, songs, drama, and hands-on activities that made learning fun. I would incorporate themes related to popular cartoons, books, and movies that the children were interested in to make the content relatable. Field trips to local parks and museums also allowed me to integrate English learning into real-world environments.

    A key highlight of the program was putting together a short drama production at the end of each week to allow the students to actively apply what they had learned. The children would choose fun storylines and characters and then rehearse dialogue and act out skits entirely in English. These productions really brought their language skills together in a creative performative medium that built their confidence.

    I made sure to use plenty of visual aids, props, and role-playing in my lessons to facilitate understanding and participation for the students' varied English proficiency levels. My daily feedback to parents provided insights into each child's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.

    The smile on my students' faces after the weekly drama productions was extremely fulfilling. I'm glad I could help boost their English skills and confidence while bringing literature and language to life through engaging methodologies tailored to their talents and interests.
