I bring over 5 years of teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate levels, demonstrating exceptional communication and mentoring skills. Instructed courses in Advanced Mechanics of Materials, Composite Materials, Design and Analysis of Aerospace Structures, Mechanics of Solids, and Statics. Senior teaching assistant in charge of both graduate-level and undergraduate-level classes. Will help with assignments, projects and any other queries related to the course. I teach the course material based on student prerequisite knowledge. If you are a beginner I start from the very beginning, going through all the concepts and if you have some knowledge about the course, I will go over the basics and start with slightly advanced topics. Over 8 years of experience in composite material research and laboratory testing. Currently, leading composite design and fabrication initiatives at Instill Motion Labs Pvt Ltd.

Experience

  • Engineer (Feb, 2023Present) at Instill Motion Labs Pvt Ltd
Setup composite fabrication unit overseeing all aspects, from procurement of materials to production processes. Utilized a broad spectrum of composite materials for the creation of complex components like sandwich panels, wing skins, canopy sections, and more. Design of the drone wing of a VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing), and design of a quadcopter emphasizing snap-fit design principles for enhanced assembly efficiency, contributed to the development of a fixed-wing UAV and fabrication of the tethered drone body. Utilized micromechanics principles to obtain precise mechanical properties and applied Composite Laminate Plate Theory (CLPT) to extract essential laminate properties, Utilized XFLR5 to design the wing structure of a fixed-wing UAV, employing aerodynamic analysis for optimal flight characteristics. Demonstrated expertise in 3D printing technology using a range of materials, including PLA, Foam PLA, and SLS, to produce intricate and functional components.
  • Teaching Assistant (Aug, 2014May, 2020) at Syracuse University, NY
Senior teaching assistant in charge of both graduate-level and undergraduate-level classes. Instructed courses in Advanced Mechanics of Materials, Composite Materials, Design and Analysis of Aerospace Structures, Mechanics of Solids, and Statics. Came up with unique projects like the design of a composite drive shaft, the design of a tapered wing, etc. for each student to help them understand and design real-world structures using composite materials and metals. Held various recitations in small groups of about 30 students each. Helped students learn different software like GENLAM, Maple, and Archimedes. Provided one-on-one and group support for students, conducted exam reviews, and graded assignments and exams. Maintained high student ratings for various courses.
