Jacqueline ForrestTeacher with 31 years of Chemistry/Biology
No reviews yet
I am a teacher/tutor with 31 years experience of classroom practise at all levels of the Secondary Curriculum in the UK. I am educated to degree level having graduated with an Honours degree in Biochemistry in 1990. I received my Post Graduate Certificate of Education in 1991. My specialist subjects are Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science. I am also qualified to teach Science at Junior/Primary level. I have prepared students for National Examinations and I am well versed in Exam Board specifications. I tutor via Zoom and my first lesson is free of charge to allow me to discuss with students their specific requirements with regard to their learning journey. I am a patient practitioner and take the time to develop a positive relationship with students to encourage confidence in their progress. Each lesson can be differentiated and tailored to the individual student. I provide written updates via email to students at the completion of each lesson to ensure that progress is monitored and next steps are highlighted. I have developed a bank of resources over the years which I use to deliver lessons. I can also direct students to specific, specialised websites which focus areas to aid revision. I am enthusiastic about the subjects I teach and willing to share my knowledge in a friendly, professional and engaging manner.
