I believe that every child has the potential to learn. With my subject and pedagogical knowledge from my M.A Education course from Azim Premji University and my teaching experience with children from vulnerable contexts, I have developed the skills and attitude of an empathetic and enthusiastic teacher.

I am currently working in the social sector with an education NGO. However, my primary passion is teaching math to students and making it fun and understandable. I will ensure that I give my best efforts to each student so that they overcome their fear of math and develop understanding of the subject a deeper and conceptual level.

I am fluent in English, Hindi and Bangla.

Experience

  • Community Engagement Cell Volunteer (Jun, 2021–Jun, 2022) at Azim Premji University Bangalore
    Here, I taught mathematics and language weekly to 25+ students studying in grades 3-5, residing in YET orphanage. I also conceptualized and implemented a 4-month Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) intervention to bridge the learning gaps if students and bring them up to their grade level competencies.
  • Academic Support Volunteer (Sep, 2017–Jun, 2019) at Make a Difference
    I provided after school tutoring support in Mathematics, Science and English to grade 3, 5 and 7 students, living in shelter homes. In my tenue here, I used a lot of activity-based methods and innovative assessments to peak the students' interests and bridge their learning gaps.

Fee details

    ₹400–1,500/hour (US$4.76–17.84/hour)

    The fee will differ on the basis of which grade the child is in, what kind of support the child and parents are expecting etc.
