My skills are proficient in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience. I love to engage classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices and patience. Every student will have their own unique struggles. Some will have a difficult time reading. For others, math or any other subject will not come easily. For others, being able to sit still during school is the struggle! Patience is the key to helping students overcome their struggles.

Empathy. Empathy is an important quality I possess as a teachers. Children and youth have big feelings and are often dealing with more than we know outside the classroom. As a teacher, I am able to empathize with what they are feeling, even if it may not seem like a big deal.

Drive for self-improvement. As a great teacher I do assess myself objectively and see where I can improve. That can be in teaching methods, subject matter, or people-skills.

Adaptable. When working with other people, students or other teachers alike, certain expectations may not always be met. My teaching methods may not work in a certain way with a certain class, schedules may change, adjustments may need to be made with little or no notice. I can always adjust my teaching methods and expectations so that student can still find success.
