Expert language instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching foreign languages and cultures to young adults in higher education and adults in training centers in France and the USA. My students specialize in fields as diverse as computer or general engineering, human resources, or QSE. They are also professionals from all walks of life and trade. I enjoy adapting my «savoir-faire» to the most diverse needs in terms of themes, skills, and levels. Instilling the desire to speak, live, and work in another language and culture is truly the cornerstone of my teaching approach.
My approach to teaching and training is that of a “culture and language gardener”, whose main purpose is to provide her students with the right emotional environment and the right cultural and linguistic nutrients. As such, I place primordial importance on adapting my methods to suit the specific needs of my students.
My students would tell you that I am very patient and dedicated to their progress. I make sure to design or offer stimulating activities that encourage personal investment and active participation (role-playing, pair or group work, simulations, debates, presentations, etc.). Initially trained in the communicative-active approach, I have also gained expertise in other active pedagogies such as the problem-based and project-based methodologies.
