I am a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Institutes of Marine Research CNR (CNR-ISMAR), Rome, Italie with an interest in implementing of a three dimensional (3D) hydrodynamic-biogeochemical model of the Black Sea.
I work in close collaboration with Liège University (MAST group) to increase the biogeochemical complexity in a coupled physical-biogeochemical model of the Black Sea and make projections under climate and blue growth
scenarios. The research is carried out in the framework of the EU Horizon 2020 project Bridge-BS “Advancing Black Sea Research and Innovation to Co-Develop Blue Growth within Resilient Ecosystem”.
I obtained master degree in Ecology and management of continental aquatic ecosystems and Phd degree in Modeling in Environmental Science from Cadi Ayyad Univeristy of Marrakech (Morocco). Ranked 2nd Best University in Africa. I have experience working in coastal dynamics with both field and modeling data. My
background includes experience on field work campaigns (laks and rivers), laboratory measurements, statistical analysis, implementation of numerical models. My current research interest mainly involves coastal modeling to
understand and estimate the effect of different climatic (e.g. warming, deoxygenation) and non-climatic (e.g. eutrophication) pressures on ecosystems by combining models and information from new earth observation platforms (e.g. satellites, Argos buoys). Indeed, my favorite working spot is behind my computer, although the occasional field work definitely has its charm! I have Worked as young resercher at the Center for Environmental and Sea Science and Technology (MARETEC) of the Instituto Superior Tècnico in Lisbon, between 2018 - 2019. My work is carried out in the Hydrodynamical and biogeochemical Modelling of coastal ecosystems. My research is carried mostly under collaborative projects: Fisheries (2018-2019) with National Institute of Fisheries Research (INRH) in Morocco where I used Ecopath model to investigate Fisheries resource management in Moroccan protected marine areas.Project PPR (2017-2021) with Centre for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST), Morocco. Project IMAR (2019) with MARETEC, Instituto Superior Tècnico in Lisbon, Portugal.FCT/MCTES (2020) with CESAM (Centre of Environmental and Marine Studies), University of Aveiro, Portugal. The quality
of my research has resulted in invitations to deliver several national and international seminars.
