Hi!
My name is Abigail but I have my students call me Abby. I was a teacher in Japan for 6 years at a junior high school. At my previous position I not only helped my students gain educational sucess as an assistant language teacher but also motivated and bolstered my students confidence in themselves and their abilities.

Before being a teacher in japan, I worked as an Introductory Biology laboratory assistant for 2 years at my college in Minnesota, the College of Saint Benedict / Saint John’s University. I also tutored students in the subject. I specialised in microbiology and followed my passion in French as well. I studied abroad for 2 months in France living with my host family during that time.

I believe that students having positive interactions with their teachers determine their attitude towards the subject they are learning and believe that if not fun then fondness for a subject improves a student's outcome in any subject.

With this belief I try to engage students in a way where learning becomes second hand. I was very sad to leave my previous posting but I believe that all students should have an opportunity to experience such a dedicated teacher!

Fee details

    TT$40–60/hour (US$5.90–8.85/hour)

    Depending on the time of day. If the student is only available after 7pm then the charge goes up to $60 per hour
