Samia is an art educator and “design thinking” enthusiast. She is a 7-year teaching veteran who just finished her 7th year of teaching art and in Design Field. After graduating from University of education in 2012 with a bachelor of fine arts
and Education.
She received a Master’s in Painting through University College of Art & Design in 2024. She taught for two years at the elementary level prior to high school from 2015-2017. She appreciates the developmental stages of children in making art at all ages and is a big fan of encouraging her older students to reach for their “inner child” when creating art. She had an amazing experience as a manual artist in R&D department of a well known clothing brand named Sapphire retail limited in Lahore, Pakistan from (2017-2019).
She has enjoyed this role with the responsibilities of as a Team Leader. She also had an excellent experience in Textile Designing field in other clothing brands as well. Now
being a member of an international school of Dubai as an IGCSE Art & Design Teacher, keeps her excited about teaching art and is such a wonderful way to get connected with the amazing network of art educators out there. Her biggest passion in life is art and her interest of creativity and design thinking in education and to provide relevant and engaging art experiences to all of her students while promoting how important art is in the world of education.

  • Textile designer (May, 2020–Jun, 2021) at Crescent textile mills
    Create two-dimensional designs that can be used, often as a repeat design, in the production of knit, weave and printed fabrics or textile products. Working in both industrial and non-industrial locations, they often specialise or work in a specialist context within the textile industry.
  • Manual Artist (Apr, 2017–Feb, 2019) at Sapphire retail limited
    A research and development (R&D) manual artist. Create new, and refines existing, products and technologies through a process of researching, designing, experimenting and testing. Duties include: creating and developing new products to meet consumer needs.
  • Art & Design teacher (Aug, 2015–Apr, 2017) at crescent model higher secondary school lahore
    Prepare and arrange art materials and art equipment in the classroom for students to use. Deliver lectures to students on art, art techniques, art history and aesthetics. Give drawing and painting demonstrations to students to teach them art techniques.
