For the last year of my degree and this year I spent time tutoring private students online, and developed a way to teach and mentor students in which I feel they benefit from most. I feel that most students are unnecessarily overwhelmed and intimidated by both mathematics and physics and that the teachers they encounter during their school years make an enormous contribution to this rather irrational fear, which then ultimately and unfortunately affects their goals and aspirations for their futures.
I find it very rewarding and encouraging to be helping students in this position and seeing their growth and development as they became more confident and start seeing greater horizons for themselves with this newly unlocked ability to solve problems by themselves.
My intention is to utilise my understanding of mathematics and physics, and skills and experience to meticulously work though any unnecessary issues from previous grades, and to assist the students in my (online) classroom to reach their highest potential in my subjects.
