As a facilitator and a scholar, I believe that the prime role of a teacher is to nurture identity, which lays the foundation for what students will be able to do and what they must learn. In my view, teaching is not a one way lecturing; it is a communication between the facilitator and students, as well as communication among students. This will provide learning an easiest process and widens the opportunities and possibilities of interaction, which demands students’ participation and challenges their abilities. As an instructor, I have integrated both traditional and modern teaching methods and instructional technologies to cater to diverse learners. Moreover, I have identified students with special requirements and developed individualized plans and activities for them. Most frequently, I employ interactive teaching methods, which are highly effective in second language acquisition. Through interaction, students’ speaking and writing skills are developed, fostering a passion for language and literature.
In addition to this, I have assessed students’ progress through assignments, tests and examinations, and provided constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills. My strong communication skill and flexibility have helped me to interact collaboratively with students, parents and other faculty members in an effective way to support student learning and development. Creating, recording and organizing databases of the improvements and assessments of the students have really benefited the institution to implement further procedures to develop students’ performance.
Moreover, my patience and compassionate nature definitely helped to solve the problems which students encountered in the institution as well as personal. In addition to this, as an experienced teacher and administrator, my decision making skills has really benefited the organization to coordinate student services, and other faculty members to excel their jobs. On top of that, I followed all the protocols and procedures of the institution to maintain student privacy and protect confidential information as a responsible facilitator.
