 As Vice Principal, previously responsible for all aspects of teaching and administration for the Preschool unit with around 150 pupils. Reporting to Shareholders and Principal of the whole school. As of September 2022, moved to take over a new school site, becoming Head of Primary unit.

 Ensure curriculum is compliant with recommended standards and makes use of rigorous Performance Management to deliver high quality teaching that undergoes process of continuous improvement.
 Innovate using a wide range of new technologies to support pupil learning, facilitate teacher delivery and engage parents in school life.
 Manage and liaise directly with parents, as main point of contact.
 Maintain, monitor, and create all required school policies such as Behaviour, Nutrition and Child Protection
 Deliver INSET day training to all teachers and staff across both schools.
Key Projects / Achievements:
 Restructured the Preschool, creating new middle management tier allowing Subject Leads to flourish and allowing Teaching Assistant role to be amended and expanded.
 Instigated new and innovative curriculum, involving International Primary Curriculum and the British Curriculum
 Introduced the Tapestry tracking system for teachers and parents to track progress.
 Created new role of Special Needs Coordinator, centralising the provision throughout the school, and implementing new strategies, measuring their effectiveness, resulting in the acquisition of additional pupil funding.
 Created a new, completely original method for teaching English and designed the curriculum (including all lessons) which currently covers three year-groups across the school. These lessons have markedly improved writing enjoyment and standards.
 Reorganised, developed, and refined school communications including weekly newsletters, online platforms, regular staff briefings and recently redesigned school website.
 Introduced the Digital Citizenship Curriculum into the whole school, which prepares students to take ownership of their digital lives. Helped school achieve the Common Sense School award and currently applying to be a Digital Citizenship Ambassador.
 Heavily involved in recruitment of new staff. In addition, created a new position (Media Manager) devising job description and leading all aspects of the recruitment process through to appointment.
 Created and delivered the Preschool’s complex COVID-19 response requiring the immediate transition to online / remote learning, whilst supporting teaching staff, pupils, and parents.
 In charge of developing and implementing several construction projects in the school, including new staff room, staff work area, environmental garden and sensory therapy room.

 Recruited as member of the Senior Leadership Team, Year 5 Teacher, and Maths Lead.
 Delivered all teaching for Year 5, including curriculum design, topic scheduling and task allocation for Teaching Assistants. Collaborating with peers and undertaking observations and reviews.
 Oversaw all maths delivery throughout the school, providing lesson observations, quality control and presented to governors and parents on maths progress.

 Raised the standards of maths throughout the whole school.
 Collaborated with local schools to pool maths skills and share best practice.
 Created new chess club and competed against other schools.

 Taught across the curriculum to various Year Groups, predominantly Year 3 and Year 5.
 Undertook effective classroom management and developed lesson plans in accordance with the English national curriculum.
 Evaluated pupil classwork / assignments and provided feedback on progress.
 Prepared classroom and coursework material, homework assignments and created inspirational resources supporting pupils, teachers, and parents.
 Accurately recorded and maintained progress using Classroom Monitor.

 Overhauled maths assessment system, introducing Cornerstones, allowing significant improvement in tracking maths progress across all year groups.
 Set up and championed successful girls football team.

 As Acting and Deputy Head Teacher, coordinated the day-to-day running of the school in collaboration with the Head Teacher and reported to the Governing body.
 Ensured high expectations of pupils in schools by creating a behaviour policy focused on pupil peer support, collaboration, and respect.
 Led the development and implementation of appropriate school policy and teaching frameworks.
 Developed material to support focused, national curriculum-led teaching to achieve core objectives.
 Ensured that staff were aware of current educational developments through ongoing programmes of continuous professional development, including performance appraisals.
 Evaluated the standards of teaching and ensured that a high performing culture was embedded throughout the school.
 Forged and maintained effective partnerships with parents / guardians to support and improve pupil achievement and personal development.
Key Projects / Achievements:
 Improved Ofsted grade from Requires Improvement to Good within 14 months.
 Restructured numeracy provision, which led to increased student progress and achievement levels, including Year 6 students passing GCSE examinations.
 Created new assessment methodology with Cornerstones to accurately identify knowledge gaps and create personalised learning plans.
 Developed an approach for less able children to learn times tables through storytelling and mnemonics.
 Empowered teachers to set challenging targets via robust assessments and progress tracking.
