I graduated from a US liberal arts college and subsequently spent 15 years in Germany, where I obtained MA and PhD degrees and worked in both academia and the private sector. Languages and cultures are my main thing, but I also like the visual arts, history and sports (especially tennis). Getting a 'Weimaraner' - a German dog breed - is an idea that I find increasingly appealing.
