Hello! My name is Marco, I am an Italian student who has specialized in Philosophy and Classics in England.
My areas of interest are History, Philosophy and Languages, and as such these have been the focus of my degrees. I have graduated with a First from UCL and Birkbeck College while teaching part-time to a wide variety of students, younger and older, including those with special needs. I speak Italian, English and Spanish fluently and I am always looking to learn a new language! (currently trying with German and Japanese).
In the meantime, teaching is my passion and I believe that each student requires a personally curtailed method to thrive in each subject. I am a firm believer that a good teaching method should focus on catering to the individual needs and objectives of the student, by seeing what works best and what is most comfortable for the individual person. There are no bad students, only bad teaching methods! My aim is that my lessons should be first and foremost a fun experience for the student, alongside achieving their set objectives together.
I am available throughout the week and the weekend for in person or online lessons. Looking forward to working with you!
Experience
-
Special Needs Tutor (Sep, 2022
–May, 2023) at Philosophy Education London
I assisted special needs students from elementary to Sixth Form in their daily tasks for different subjects. I specialized in English above others, including Maths and History, preparing a specifically curtailed step by step plan for the individual student I was assigned. I assisted 1 to 1 in individual lessons as well as class lessons.
