Noor Highschool graduate

Hi! I'm Noor, a recent high school graduate planning to study architecture at the University of Southern California (USC) this upcoming spring. While I'm only a recent graduate, I have accumulated two years of online and in-person teaching experience at my previous high school, where I taught years 7 to 11. I was the founder of the Maths Help Desk and Society, where two other tutors and I helped 30+ tutees create a strong math base and strengthen their subject knowledge as well as their confidence. I taught both iGCSE and pre-iGCSE students in this tutoring service, creating engaging lesson plans and tailored worksheets to target students' weaknesses.

My math scores/achievements:
- Grade 9 (out of 9) achieved in Cambridge IGCSE (raw score: 190/200). Completed in year 9 or 2019, two years in
advance.
- Grade 9 (out of 9) achieved in Edexcel Further pure maths. Completed in year 11 or 2021
- Grade 6 (out of 7) achieved in IB Math Higher Level. Completed in year 13 or 2023.
- 99th percentile in the SAT Math section with a score of 760 (out of 800).
- Silver award in United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT)

What to expect from me as your child's math tutor:
- Subject Matter Expertise: You can expect me to have a deep understanding of the math topics we're covering
- Arrive on Time: I will consistently start our sessions promptly, respecting the scheduled time we've agreed upon.
- Adaptability: I will tailor my teaching methods to your child's specific needs and abilities, adjusting the pace and
complexity of lessons as necessary.
- Homework and Practice: I will provide practice problems and assignments to reinforce learning and offer feedback on
your child's work.
- Tracking Progress: I will keep track of your child's progress and adjust our sessions accordingly to ensure continuous
improvement.
- Open to Feedback: I'm open to receiving feedback and suggestions so our tutoring relationship can continuously improve.

What I expect from your child:
- Homework Completion: Expect your child to complete assigned homework or practice problems to reinforce what they've
learned during the tutoring sessions.
- Regular Attendance: Your child should attend tutoring sessions regularly and arrive on time, valuing the commitment to
their education.
- Asking for Help: Your child should feel comfortable asking for help when they don't understand something. They should
see the tutor as a valuable resource.

Success in tutoring relies on teamwork between the tutor, your child, and parents. Clear expectations and support drive excellence in math
