With over 7 years of active tutoring and teaching, I have developed effective methods for different categories of students.
As an applied music instructor, I instruct students on the piano, clarinet, violin, guitar, saxophone and the recorder using recommended and recognized tutors. I also follow ABRSM curriculum and standards.
At first meeting with my private students, I confirm their level and experience. I also ask if they have any knowledge in music theory. The answers they give me determines my starting note in the first class. Either ways I teach music theory and the instrument side by side. Music education should be fun. I strongly believe this and I ensure that I discover what amuses my students or makes them relax during class. Evaluations during class comes frequently.
