My name is Peters, Abiodun. I am a Biology teacher based in Nigeria.
I have 26 years' experience teaching Cambridge O/L, IGCSE and A/L I have Cambridge
I have certifications and British Council certifications.
I use scaffolding method of teaching to support my students, and apply assessment for learning approach to ensure mastery of concepts.
I use analogies to illustrate points, and encourage team and group work to encourage synergy among students.
I conduct regular practical sessions on topics taught, and give take-home to students to engage their minds and help them become independent learners.
I help my students to attain the peak of Bloom's taxonomy of learning, which is to be creative and effectively apply learning to life situations and be the best they can be.
Though my students are mainly in Nigeria, I help them to have a world of view of life, that transcends all limitations.
I have worked at several reputable institutions, as indicated in my resume. I am presently the Head of Biology Department at Educational Advancement Centre, a major and award-winning British Council Partner School in Ibadan, Nigeria.
My motivation is to see students who struggled with learning eventually excel with high grades in their various examinations.
My students have been awarded Best Overall student in Cambridge A/L examination at various times.
I help with assignments, projects and presentations.
I regularly use PowerPoints and videos to make class sessions more lucid and engender clarity of concepts and principles.
I can do a free teaching demo on any Biology topic for any student who needs a teacher with my competence, experience and certifications to partner with to help excel in any examination and fulfill goals and aspirations.
I love football, play chess and I am a very good artist, too.
I watch epic movies and thrillers when not studying or teaching.
I relate favorably well with my students as friends, and remain their friend through their life journey.
I have written two Advanced Biology books, viz:
