Experience

  • Research Assistance (Jan, 2021–Present) at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi
    The project examined Abu Dhabi's materials and environment's SuperPave mix-design requirements. The Abu Dhabi Municipality Authority requested the project to adapt US SuperPave mix-design methods to Abu Dhabi's traffic and climate. After volumetric properties evaluations for SuperPave Gyratory Compactor (SGC) compacted samples indicated the ideal binder content, materials were batched for 4% air voids with VMA and VFA limits. Later, the Humberg Wheel Tracking Test (HWTT), Semi Circular Benging test (SCB), Repeated Loading Permanent Deformation test (RLPD)/Flow Number test (FN), and Push Pull test assessed rutting and fatigue performance (PP). Mechanistic Empirical Asphalt Pavement Analysis software was used to calibrate experimental data for (MEPDG) and propose mixtures for Abu Dhabi's traffic and climate.

  • Project Manager (Aug, 2013–Dec, 2019) at Link engineering
    Reporting to Project Director  Preparing Master Program for the Project  Preparing fortnight, monthly progress report and providing necessary solution to escalate the project to the timeline  To study all tender documents, basic time schedule and identify any deficiencies in documents and contact the relevant consultant for clarification.  Convene a meeting of all specialist contractor both in-house and outside and obtain their individual programs with dates fixed for ordering of materials, fabrication commencement and site installation and prepare a master program for the project identifying all mile stones etc. A copy of this program shall be issued to Resident Agent and the Project Director.  Convene a meeting with the Personnel Manager and Plant & Equipment Manager and arrange for the staff and equipment in consultation with the Project Director.  Prepare a methodology statement highlighting important aspects and hand over same to Resident Agent.  Prepare a quality control system for the site in consultation with the Management Representative and advice the Resident Agent regarding effective implementation.  The Project Manager and Resident Agent in consultation with the HR Manager arrange for all labor grades available in house and through labor contractors.  Convene weekly meetings with the Resident Agent and Quantity Surveyor to review progress and record accomplishment in the master program. Performance by the specialist contractors also to be reviewed and action taken to bring all items on schedule.  To have a meeting with specialist contractors, Resident Agent and Quantity Surveyor prior to the scheduled meeting with the consultants.
     To meet at least monthly with the Project Director and review the progress made on the whole contract by the site staff, specialist contractors and jointly take appropriate steps to comply with the program. He will submit the cash flow statement, material requisition and list of additional resources.  To handle all communications in regard to the contract with the Client, Consultant, Specialist Contractors and other agencies who are associated with the project. Advice the Project Directors on any claim for extensions required to be forwarded to the consultant with the contract, well on time.  To inspect periodically the work performed and improve quality and rectification where necessary.
