First I'll go through the chapter that is to be taught to the student then I'll ask the student what he/she have understood from the lesson and further after understanding the child's understanding I'll explain the chapter. Then questions and answers will be made them to do. I'll keep some interactive sessions where the student will tell that where they lag and what they expect from me and what is their comfort level.This is how I'll understand student mentality and then I'll try to make them come of their comfort zone so that they can excel.Apart from this I'll also help the students with homework if needed and doubts will be cleared patiently.
