Hello, Am John from and I am from Kenya, East Africa. I started teaching in 1986 as Junior High school teacher and taught Kiswahili and English. In Kenya Kiswahili is a second language to many while English is a third language and is used in teaching the other subjects. In 1994 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Sociology at Egerton University,Njoro and thereby qualified to teach languages as a senior teacher. In 1998 I was promoted to the position of Director of Education and from that time I became a teacher supervisor. To enhance my status as an Education officer I enrolled for Master of Education degree in the University of Nairobi in 2005 and graduated in 2007 my speciality being Educational Administration and planning. I retired from the civil service in 2022. In my retirement I intend to teach learners of all ages given my work background of interacting with classroom learners and later with the teachers and other stakeholders. With this kind of background I am confident I can deal with any learning content in English and Kiswahili languages. Furthermore I have ample time to pursue my passion ; teaching. Let's travel together in this journey of learning language.
