–Mar, 2024) at D. G. M. E. S. Mampad College (Autonomous), Mampad
As an Assistant Professor on a contract basis, I taught graduate students both the theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry.
My key responsibilities included:
-Lecturing on core chemistry subjects, including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, ensuring students develop a deep understanding of fundamental and advanced topics.
-Supervising laboratory sessions, providing hands-on training in chemical experiments, safe handling of chemicals, instrumentation (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography), and data analysis.
-Developing curriculum materials, such as lecture notes, laboratory manuals, and assignments, to align with the learning objectives and to help students grasp complex chemical concepts.
-Guiding students in practical applications, including reaction mechanisms, chemical synthesis, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and other essential laboratory techniques.
-Mentoring students on research projects, providing support with experimental design, methodology, data interpretation, and technical writing.
-Conducting assessments and evaluations, such as exams, quizzes, and laboratory reports, to monitor student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
-Collaborating with academic staff to improve teaching methods, introduce new learning resources, and enhance student engagement.
-Organizing workshops, seminars, and tutorials on current trends and chemistry research, encouraging students to engage in research and academic inquiry.
Through this role, I contributed to the development of future chemists by fostering both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills, ensuring a holistic and thorough education.
