Sharavan RamachandranSenior Scientist & Biology tutor
No reviews yet
I am a Pharmacology Scientist with a PhD in Cancer Biology. My doctoral research was focused on developing novel cancer therapeutics where I discovered the anticancer effects of a novel antipsychotic drug resulting in 13 publications, 32 awards, 1 research grant, and 1 patent. I have mentored high school and graduate students in conceptualization, study design, experiment planning, data analysis & interpretation, report preparation, publications, and grant writing for their high school and thesis projects.
My teaching approach is highly personalized and will perfectly cater to the needs of each student. I analyze the students initially and understand their expectations of me as a tutor. This will help me identify the gap and in collaboration with the student, we will strategize an effective approach to address the need.
Eventually, I envision my students should have a clear understanding of simple to complex concepts by presenting real-life examples and focusing on the purpose of education.
