I am highly motivated and progress focused with a long background in English teaching for different age groups but mainly for students whose English is not their first language.
I am an Egyptian citizen who lives in Alexandria – Egypt. I was graduated at Faculty of Arts, English department, language and translation section. In spite of that, I have engaged myself in the field of teaching of English as a second/foreign language for almost 22 years now. I started my career as an English language teacher in Victory College of Alexandria -Egypt for two years and then moved to Saudi Arabia. In Riyadh, I joined the English staff of two schools and then I moved to King Saud University after earning the 120 -hour TESOL certificate.
I have also earned the Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics in 2018. Applied Linguistics and English language teaching together meet the growing need for English language teachers and supervisors in countries where it is not the dominant language.
Throughout the course of my career, I have learned how to be able to teach the course not the course book. I have learned that the best way to become a good teacher is to understand each and every student and know their unique needs. I am able to achieve this by seeing and assessing my students as individuals and tailoring lesson plans to accommodate mixed abilities and multiple intelligences. Extra-curricular activities are especially used to ensure that students are able to grasp learning concepts and enhance their personal skills.
Considering my experience, credentials and qualifications, I am confident I would be quite an addition to your competent team.
